When I received this dress in the mailbox I was perplex. It wasn't clearly what I was expecting...
Not that the photo of the dress in the website made me think the dress was ugly... I bought because I thought it was amazing.
BUT when I opened the package I realized that this lovely dress from TwinkleDeals wasn't amazing, it was BEYOND amazing!
I ran to instagram to tell you all about my new dress that looked exactly like a wedding dress!
Why do I think that? The fabric of the dress is perfect, so strong... detailed, with embroidery and lace, oh and white.
This dress is really nice, it has a smaller dress inside the dress, which I find adorable! AND IT HAS POCKETS!!!
I almost fainted when my hands instantly wanted to reach for pockets and FOUND THEM!
ok... so I'm in love with this dress... but you are too, right?
I also added my flower crown from Vanilla Vice, my lilac crystal necklace from Royalty and some rings from Style Moi, just to give it a little extra cuteness to the outfit.
It is currently on sale, so go check it out
Although I like statement necklaces, I have to admit that I love the simpler ones! This three beauties have been my top 3 when it comes to necklaces. The one with the sun pendent is a short necklace and I love this kind of necklaces that are just a little bellow the neck and this one is from Môjo.The lilac one I received a few days ago but it is already one of my favorites, it's simply perfect! And it is from Royalty. The two layered necklace with the elephant is awesome, right? When I saw it at Triangvlvs I knew I needed to have it, and so I did, I'm such an impulsive buyer...If you have a store or know of someone that sells beautiful necklaces like this ones don't forget to send me an email to tell me all about it.And OH, if you want your instagram account to be featured here on the blog and gain some followers just click here.
Sunday is no-makeup day for me, even if I need to take some photos for the blog (I was kinda scared I admit).
This was the outfit I wore to take a walk with my mother in one of this Sundays and of course I took some photos here for the blog.I've been loving my new sunglasses and I've been wearing them everywhere! That's also the case of this backpack, I'm really in love...
I love photography. I love to take photographs and I've been doing that since forever.
Some may say I have too many analogue cameras but I think that's not a thing.
I love so much this world that two years ago I decided to create my own photography laboratory to develop my own black&white films, and really did it. Awesome, right?
Last year was so, so, so strange that this passion of mine was pushed aside. But I plan to change that.
Gonna take my cameras out for a walk and have at least one near me everywhere I go. Do you think I can do it?
Hope to show you some lovely analogue photographs soon!
I started using Snapchat a couple of years ago, but my cellphone was always crashing and I got tired of it. A couple of days ago I decided to give it another try, now with a better phone.
Snapchat was like a big three-headed monster to me,it still is a bit, but now I'm getting the hang of it. I have been snapchatting every day and I really enjoy seeing your snapchats.

My new black kimono has been craved for some of the girls, when I showed it at last bloggers's meeting or even when I showed it to you on instagram.
But that is to be expected because this kimono from Choies is truly beautiful.
When I received this kimono this outfit was created instantly on my mind. My Bershka shorts, my kick-ass tee, my new beautiful-amazing-awesome backpack from Dresslink (that I use on a daily basis now) and my round sunglasses seem to fit perfectly in to my idea of the outfit.
I'm also wearing the most beautiful little blue necklace from Locas Biju. Isn't it the cutest ever?
I really loved the result! And the photos too. And you?
When I saw this necklace this weekend in Royalty's instagram account I knew I had to buy it! We settled the details and payment over the weekend, Royalty's team sent me the necklace on Monday and I received it the next day! Amazing!
What's also amazing is that I also received a surprise! A cute hair bow with a black and white pattern. Thank you much for the extra gift!
Well, the shipping was really fast, as you can see, everything was in a secure packaging, the necklace was just like in the photos and of course it was really amazing to receive an extra product.
I've been following this store's instagram account for quite a while and they have the most adorable bracelets, maybe I'll think about buying one for this Summer.
Did you know this store? Do you like my purchase?
And don't forget to follow my instagram for more awesome pictures!
Ps: We passed the 2k mark on instagram, iey! Thank you so much!
Ps2: I'm giving Snapchat a try. Today I'm going to spend the afternoon with Helena, taking pictures for the blogs, so follow me there for some vlogs: lovable-maria
An almost black outfit! Almost, yes, because of those little cute white stripes from my new sweater from Dresslink. I have been hunting down for some perfect crop sweaters and this one is so comfortable to wear, and so soft!
It only costs 5,53$ and it is also available in white with black stripes.
To that I also added my H&M black jeans, a Chicnova bag, Zara shoes and my favorite pair of glasses!
Photo from a post from 2013, oh my oh my |
I think you know pretty well how I fell about rompers, they are the most simple thing to use. Just put it on and yes! you are ready to rock-on.If I could I would have one in each color, pattern and fabric.I think the only problem with rompers is that you can only wear them in the hot season, a problem because we want to wear it all year long! The great thing about rompers is that it is completely versatile, it can be used to go to the beach, to music festivals or even to going out in the evening, it all depends on the length of the romper, the fabric and pattern, and then of course the shoes and accessories you match it with. With summer coming up new rompers are arriving to my wardrobe and I can't wait to show you!But till then here you can find a few of my favorite Choies' Rompers. Every romper is linked to it's own product page so fell free to check them all.
I've been wanting a nude lipstick for a while now. In February, when I was having a bit of a shopaholic crises I decided to buy one for myself.
What better brand to start experimenting than a brand that I already know and love? Makeup Revolution has won a little spot in my heart, the brand's lipsticks are just too perfect and also inexpensive.
A thing, kinda weird (or is it?), that I do is: when I'm in the mood for a lip color that I don't have I use two or three lipstick colors till I achieve that perfect lip color that I want. Do you also do that?
And of course that this nude lipstick has been one of those lipsticks I use to create the color I want to achieve. In the photo bellow, gonna show you the outfit later on the blog, you can see one of those creations. I really wanted an orangy nude lip color and so I used this nude lipstick, my awesome Ice Pink lipstick from Hean and the orange lipstick from the Full Scandalous Collection.
Is it something weird to do? I really loved the result!
Coat: Style Moi | Backpack: Dresslink | Sunglasses: Dresslink |
This was the outfit I wore last Friday to another lovely bloggers' meeting.
I really just can't get enough of my awesome coat from Style Moi, isn't it amazing?
This Thursday I received my order from Dresslink and of course I used some of the things in this meeting!
In this outfit I also used my new black backpack and sunglasses from Dresslink, a basic white top, my lilac sneakers and my pink (and so comfortable) pants that were a gift from my mom on my birthday.
I'm gonna show you this Dresslink goodies in more outfit posts, as you can see in my instagram account, because I just can't help myself, love them!
Yesterday afternoon I met some gorgeous ladys in Oporto! We talked, ate yummy food, took photos&selfies, went to an urban market and we even visited Lili in her work place (I was missing her!!!).
The amazing ladies that spent the afternoon with me were Helena, Vanessa, Joana, Marlene, Joana and Inês. I didn't know some of them in person and it was really nice to meet them!
Let's do it again!
Hello darlings!Just wanted to share with you another lovely store.Locas Biju has so many likes on facebook that maybe you already know this store. But if you didn't know it than you really should. This four accessories you see in the photos are from this awesome store! You may have seen some of them flowing around my instagram account, aren't they gorgeous?I've been using this hair accessory a lot! It's really strong and the cute bow with this amazing black and white print makes it all so much adorable! And let's talk about this three gorgeous necklaces! They are so perfect! I already used the black tear drop in Expocosmética, the brown one on a daily basis and I'm so excited to wear the blue one, that it's just so damn lovely! If you want to make a purchase you just have to send an email or a message on Facebook. My things arrived really quickly and in an excellent condition. They are actually attending today's urban market in Oporto, in Praça das Cardosas, if you are interested in showing up I'll be passing by, with a few colleague bloggers, so don't forget to say HI! if you see us there.
The cold, rainy and windy days (that could lift me up and toss me across the road) are over right?
Not that I hate those days when I'm at home drinking something hot, and don't get me wrong I love to walk in the rain (weird?), but wind ruins everything, specially my hair ahahah
So, this is a weird outfit, nothing that I would normally wear, but I really wanted to use this old (but looks like new) skirt from my mom. And that new crop top from Primark fitted perfectly in the outfit, although I really thought it wouldn't.This was the perfect outfit for a Sunday lunch with my mom!
We live in a competitive and stressful world. Till last year I was constantly worried about everything. I was always worried that the worst was going to happen and I preferred to stay at home than to confront all the things that eventually could go wrong.
I changed, a lot, and I'm so much happier. Here are the things I did to stop worrying about everything.
Get shit together
I was the worst when it came to get things done. I always postponed everything, the usual excuses were "I was sick" or "I had too much work at school", which was always true, but that lead to the usual phrase: "I'll do it tomorrow".
Gladly I'm not like this anymore. Once I did the last thing I promised someone (or myself) I'll do everything fell into place. I felt freedom and a sense of relief I didn't felt in a long, long, time.
So, first thing you need to do is create a list of things you need to do right away and give them some deadlines, to keep you moving.
Create a game with it if you want to. If you do three things before the deadline you'll give yourself something nice as a present. Or just think that if you'll do everything you will be free and will have time to do what you really enjoy.
Surround yourself with the best
It's not always easy to surround yourself with the best people for you. People tend to reveal their worst when you are at your lowest-self, and that's exactly the time you need them the most.
Just keep near to you people that proved themselves to be great friends. And that will make you smile when all you feel is the need to cry.
Let go of people that hurt you. I know, for experience, that is hard to let go of someone that you once loved, but it's for the best.
Let it out
Don't trap your feelings inside of you, let it out! Say what you feel and don't be afraid.
Last year I've met someone that wasn't afraid to tell me I was being stupid or stubborn and never in my life I had people that talked to me like that. It was a kick in the stomach to be truthful but it was so relieving. And, because of that, I changed so much, for the better, and I wasn't afraid to confront my problems.
Do you love someone? Tell them. Do you miss someone? Call them. Did someone hurt you? Don't be afraid to talk to them about it.
Do what you love
Find something you love to do and do it. It's always nice to have an hobby but don't put pressure in it. Read a book, but don't rush to the end of it just so you can be able to say you've read it first than your friend.
In today's world everything is a competition, just forget the world for a moment. Do a thing for yourself and not for the views and likes. You will love yourself more for that.
Be healthy
Eat healthier food, exercise, sleep at least 8 hours, drink water daily, you know the drill. Find someone you could share this kind of lifestyle with, it will be a lot easier.
Just be happy! Go on.
Hello darlings!
A photography post, I haven't made one in a while, so here it is.
NIGHT SKIES! Gorgeous and wonderful night skies! One of the many things I love to photograph, every photo is perfect in it's own way.
I can't help to fall in love every time I look to a sunset, the stars, the night sky... oh I'm a hopeless romantic...
Hello darlings!Another online class in web design, iey! This one has been one of your top requests! In this online class you are going to learn how to create a navigation bar with submenus, just like mine.If you don't want sub menus on your navigation bar you can learn how to do a simple one in my first online class.Let's get started?
When I was 15 I found out I had a back problem called Scoliosis, it's a really common thing, it usually happens if you grow really quickly or you have a bad posture during the growth process.
My spine had an 'S' shape, it was curved to the right on the top and curved to the left on the bottom.
I discovered I had it when I was doing some abs and my gymnastic's teacher put her hand in my back and notice that something was wrong. She had the same problem when she was little so she help me a lot and gave me great tips.
I went to the doctor and he made me take X-rays. It was really true, I really had my spine curved and that explained the pain I was having everyday.
The doctor told me the only treatment I had was to do surgery but we should only do it in extreme cases. He told me the only thing he could do for me, at that moment, was to give me painkillers.
Some years later I started having some difficulty walking, especially with ballerinas shoes and flat sole shoes. I went to other doctor and he told me that my Scoliosis was causing me knee problems and that I was going to feel back pain for the rest of my life.
Hearing such a horrible thing was hard, so I started doing exercise at that time, I actually made some posts about it (the first one - it's in Portuguese) and asked you to join me, I even made some freebies for you to download with tips about exercises.
The truth is that it worked! I still have pain everyday, but it's weaker, and the difficulty to walk happens less, and if I didn't hurt my knee last year I bet I'd be even better.
And my spine? It's almost perfect. Can you believe it? My "S" shaped spine is almost like it should be, and the doctor swore to me that I wasn't going to get better.
The first step to get better, and one of the most important, is to set your mind to it! I was focused in getting better and I worked really hard for it.
The second step is to find your own treatment, search for exercises and alternative methods that will help you along the way. Keep a notebook with all your findings, just think of it as a journey and at the end of the road you will find a healthier you.
The third step is to not let yourself down if you don't see results right away. This treatment I've put myself into is hard, I'm not gonna lie. I had to be alert about my posture, every single second.
I have a bad habit, when I feel back pain I start to lose a good posture to ease the pain, and every time this happened I had to force a good posture again. It is so hard, and it hurts a lot, I also experimented with clothes with posture correction and it's the worst, I always ended crawled in the ground with pain.
But now I'm here, healthier and better than I was on that first post, and I'm so happy you accompanied me along the way.
All problems are different and maybe this will work better for you or maybe it won't work. But believe me that you can always try to be healthier, you can't say it doesn't work if you don't at least try.
Don't let anyone let you down, like they tried on me, and tell you can't do something. You can do everything you set your mind to. I tried, will you give it a try?
Be brave and stay strong.
I love Instagram! I can spend hours there, scrolling up and down.
